Welcome to Park, we are excited to have you as our Guests. This information is provided so that you enjoy your visit to The Park Country Club. By reading this, it will ensure your comfort in a hospitable surrounding and circumvent any possible anxiety about common rules at Park Country Club. If you are coming to golf, dine, play tennis or swim– we hope you enjoy your time at our Club. Golf Course Dress Code

Gentlemen: Golf shirts are required which may include mock turtle necks. T-shirts are prohibited. Bermuda length shorts may be worn.

Ladies: Golf shirts/blouses may be sleeveless with a collar or collarless with sleeves. Halter and tank tops are not appropriate attire on the golf course. Ladies golf shorts, skorts or skirts must cover a minimum of half the thigh.

With either gender, denim, swimming and cargo attire are prohibited. Hats must be worn bill forward and shirts must be tucked in.
 

Dress for Dining

Elegant Country Club Casual attire is required in the Lounge, Dining Room, Anderson Room and Main Foyer of the Clubhouse during a la carte dining hours.

Elegant Country Club Casual is by definition:

  • All shirts must have collars, mock or full turtlenecks, crew necks or v-necks are allowed. Dress slacks are required. Shorts are only allowed in the Grille Room and on the Terraces. No golf or tennis attire is permitted. Jackets and ties are optional, not required. 

 

Terrace, Grille and Runyan Room

Country Club Casual and appropriate informal attire are permitted on the Terrace and in the Grille and Runyan Rooms.

Country Club Casual is by definition:

  • Trousers, including Bermuda length shorts with collared shirts, turtle necks, mock turtle necks, and crew necks for men; dresses, pant suits, skirts and casual slacks with appropriate tops for ladies. Shirt tails must be tucked inside men's trousers or shorts with the exception of Bugatchi, Tommy Bahama or similar style shirts with a length that does not hang lower than the "hip". Golf Shirts must be tucked in at all times.

Informal Attire

Appropriate informal attire for men, ladies and children, including golf and tennis attire, is permitted to be worn on the Terrace, in the Grille Room, Grille Foyer and Runyan Room except hats or caps which are not permitted to be worn by males in the Clubhouse.

Please note that denim, t-shirts and pants with cargo pockets are prohibited in all areas.



Traditional Club Events

Traditional Club events such as Easter, Mother’s Day, Mother/Daughter Events, Thanksgiving Dinner, Member Christmas Parties and the like will remain Jacket and Tie or formal attire events. Children under 12 are not required to wear a coat but must wear a tie. All Club events will be posted with a dress code requirement in the newsletter or related flyers, posters or other means of communication.
 

Cell Phone Policy

The use of mobile phones is restricted. They may be used anywhere on the premises for non-voice applications or texting. When using voice or talking on these phones, please leave any dining area and use the utmost discretion. This includes usage on the golf course, at the pool or tennis courts, in the locker rooms and the parking lots. Using the picture taking function on your telephone is prohibited. Laptops, iPads and other computers are not appropriate for use in the dining rooms and on the dining terraces. These devices are only to be utilized in private rooms within the Club.
 

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted on Club property within any indoor area as per New York State Law. In addition, smoking is not permitted on the outdoor upper Terrace, Runayn Room Terrace, the pool deck and its attendant cabana. Cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted along the lower rail of the Terrace, and on the Terrace Pods (but off limits during private events), and all other outdoor areas of Club property not specifically referred to herein. Special dispensation may be accorded for specific events in specific locations by the Club’s President or the Club’s General Manager.
